Christopher Herndon
Christopher Herndon is a native of Brevard, NC, and a long time friend and riding buddy of company founder Jon Sarver. He was raised in an off-the-grid solar home where he gained perspective on how a unique house can meet individual owner needs.
Growing up, Christopher could be found doing two things – hanging out on his dad’s construction site or riding his mountain bike in the woods. Eventually, he found a career relating to both. Christopher won a professional national mountain bike title in 2007 and represented the US National Team in 2006 and 2007.
In 2009, he established his own construction business, Progressive Ventures Inc. After several successful years of home building, opportunity in the cycling world presented itself again with a position coaching the US National Team. This led to several years of worldwide travel. In 2013, he met his beautiful wife and decided it was finally time to start spending summertime at home in Brevard. “I have been very fortunate to travel to a lot of amazing places but I have always wanted to come back to Brevard. That is how I know it’s somewhere special.”
